One-evening adventures · system-neutral · printable
Name your town.
We'll find what walks there.
We look up the real, recorded folk legends of the place you name, show you where each one comes from, and turn the one you pick into a ready-to-run one-shot: GM book, six NPCs, a hand-drawn-style map, handouts and a spoiler-safe player pack. Ready for Friday night.
Scouting is free and takes about a minute. You only pay once you've seen your town's legends.
An example pack, laid out on the table
The Grim of St Mary's — Bungay, Suffolk, England
Built on the Black Dog of Bungay, 4 August 1577. This is an original concept study we wrote to show you exactly what arrives — illustrative, not a client's order. Read all of it, print it, run it.
12345A True Warning to the Folk of Waveney
Come hark, good folk of Bungay town, and mark what I do sing, Of one that walks the causeway down when thunder's on the wing. His coat is black as tanner's pit, his eyes are coals of red, And iron about his neck is knit to keep him to his bed.
Agnes Tolly
Broad shoulders, oilskin, a dog of her own that won't go near the church
Wants: Fair fares and a dry week
Voice: Few words, river sayings
+ 5 more · 3 branching scenes · clue graph
How it works
From a place name to Friday night
Scout
Tell us the town. We search the recorded folklore and show you 2–4 real legends, each with its source. If your town's lore is thin, we say so and suggest the nearest place that has more.
Set the table
Pick the legend, then your players, length, era and tone, plus the lines and veils your table uses and the system you play.
Pay, then watch it forge
Checkout is one step. You can watch the pack being built — premise, clues, scenes, cast, map, print — and it lands in your library.
Print and play
Download the GM Book, the Player Pack, the handouts and the maps as PDFs, or run it straight from a tablet.
